In Honor of Lilly Pulitzer

The fashion world was in mourning this past Sunday as Palm Beach icon Lilly Pulitzer passed away. Pulitzer started selling juice and then producing colorful shifts to mask the stains on her clothing that citrus would leave behind. She soon started selling more dresses than juice thus founding The Lilly Pulitzer company! Today the brand is known for its colorful clothes and accessories that are great for women any age! We are proud to carry her accessory line at The Pink Chalet and think they are fabulous items for the girl on the go!

This Lilly Pulitzer Insulated Market Tote in Chin-Chin is a must have for market!

Protect your iPad2 or new iPan in Lilly style with this Lilly pulitzer case with smart cover in the See You Later pattern!

Whether signing autographs or writing a note to your sweetie, Lilly Pulitzer ink pens are sure to impress in both style and quality!

File storage that will spruce up any set of keys! The 2GB USB Flash Drive keeps your files safe and sound, while the silicone cover keeps you looking bright and stylish. Use your Lilly Pulitzer Flash Drive keychain at the office, school, or home- saving things will be more fun no matter where you are!

Your hottest accessory...your hair!

Another great trend for Spring this year? Hair accessories! A fun way to add some extra jazz to your outfit, throwing on a quick head band or clipping in a bejeweled bobby pin is super trendy! We are so excited to announce that we are now carrying Ban.do, a super chic line that will add instant style to your daily wardrobe! Celebrity fans such as Taylor Swift are making a statement in this line that will be sure to garner compliments! With the hot, humid months coming upon us, here are some fun, organic recipes to keeping your mane manageable!

1. Mash a ripe avocado (pit removed) with one egg, then apply to wet hair. Avocados are rich in vitamins, essential fatty acids and minerals that will help restore luster to your hair, says Stephen Sanna, expert colorist at the Pierre Michel Salon in New York City. Leave on for at least 20 minutes, then rinse several times. Repeat once a week for damaged hair and once a month for healthy hair.
2. Use one part apple cider vinegar and two parts very warm water to help balance the pH level of your scalp and bring out natural red highlights. It may be smelly, but it works! Simply pour the vinegar mixture onto your hair, massage it into your scalp, and let it dry for a few minutes. Then wash hair as usual.
3. Mix one egg with a small amount of shampoo, apply to your hair for five minutes, and rinse well. This “shampoo omelet” helps to enhance the protein in your hair.
4. Take one to three 250-milligram capsules of borage oil, evening primrose oil, or flaxseed oil one to three times a day. All are rich in omega-3 fatty acids like gamma-linolenic acid, great for keeping hair (and nails) moisturized.
